High quality sustainable handmade products

Bunzlau tableware is handmade in the Ceramika Artystyczna factory in Boleslawiec, a small town in Poland that is also known by its German name Bunzlau.

Here are several hundred highly experienced professionals active who focus on the production and painting of ceramics. In addition to painting, the artist also uses hand-cut stamps.

Customers worldwide attach great importance to the high artistic level and excellent quality of this tableware.

The pottery begins with a first baking process, which turns it matte beige. It then goes to the decoration department, where each piece is carefully hand-painted. Nature serves as a great source of inspiration; elements such as twigs and flowers can often be seen in the various designs. These are applied with hand stamps or brushes, which makes each piece unique thanks to the craftsmanship.
After the paint has dried, an ecological glaze is applied to the Polish tableware. This beautifully highlights the characteristic colours of blue, red and green and gives the famous Bunzlau its characteristic shine.
Because the decoration is under the glaze, it is excellently protected against damage.
Discoloration or fading due to exposure to sunlight is not possible, which benefits durability.

The tableware is then fired for the second time, this time at a temperature of no less than 1250 degrees Celsius. This process ensures that the tableware reaches ceramic status, which is sturdier than ordinary earthenware (stoneware).
This makes the tableware suitable for use in the oven, microwave and dishwasher.
The unique composite clay is also produced in the Boleslawiec area.

Be inspired and experience the beauty of this special pottery.
